Okay, so I just realized that now that I have watchers, there actually is a point in posting journal entries. I only have one thing to talk about: Maple Story.

So I just started the game on Wednesday and played for 9 hours before I became level 10, so I could FINALLY get a job and become a bowman. Mucho thanks to Tai and Joanie for having my back while I hunted, and also for not yelling at me for getting lost/dying every 20 minutes.

Anyway, the three of us formed a party and started exploring the area around Henesys, killing monsters along the way - y'know, the usual. There's this hunting ground in Amoria where we liked to play, but then a Balrog came by and started killing everything in sight (including me). So we started looking for a new place to hunt and wound up in Sleepywood (hereby referred to as the Forest of Death. Don't let its lethargic name fool you, it's anything but sleepy.)

We went into a tree infested with Zombie Mushroom and our basic strategy was this: they do all the fighting, I pick up all the money and stuff that gets left behind. It was working for a while until I forgot to watch my HP and (of course) died. Since I couldn't find where they were (this game seriously needs a teleport option) Tai told me to stay in the Hotel. Okay, I did that.

And then my dad kicked me off the computer so he could type something. When I came back an hour later, they were offline, so I decided to find a taxi or portal or something to get back to nice, safe Henesys. Except, there was this giant pink anniversary cake monster rampaging in Sleepywood that killed me with one touch.

That's when I knew I was screwed. I remember once I was resurrected as a ghost, that's how fast I died. So then I just quit, and now I'm waiting for Tai and/or Joanie to come on so they can help me out of this mess. T___T
